NAU Ranked A Top College For Veterans For Second Year

Military Times has once again named Northern Arizona University among its Best for Vets: Colleges 2015 rankings

It’s the second year that the respected armed forces newsmagazine ranked NAU as the top school for veterans not just in Arizona but for the entire Southwest region.

NAU is ranked 27th out of 120 top schools. Last year, NAU was ranked 36th.

“I know what it means to be truly veteran friendly,” says Jordan Sherwood, a Marine Corps veteran and a Public Administration student. “Northern Arizona University not only hits the mark, but they lead the way in educating our nation’s service members.”

Academic rigor greatly impacted this year’s Military Times rankings. Other considerations were percentage of tuition covered by the GI Bill, service member enrollment and programs, student retention and graduation rates, student loan default rates and student-faculty ratio.

The complete Best for Vets: Colleges 2015 rankings can be found here.
