Arizona Daily Sun congratulates Nichele Pollock, the first student to graduate from Personalized Learning.
"Nichele Pollock is not your typical Northern Arizona University student.
The 26-year-old has been working full time since she was 17 years old. For the past seven years, she has been a clinical research coordinator in Tucson. And in just a couple weeks, she will earn her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from NAU without ever setting foot inside a classroom on the Mountain Campus.
Pollock is on track to become the first student to graduate from NAU’s Personalized Learning program.
Launched by NAU Extended Campuses in the summer of 2013, Personalized Learning is one of only a handful of accredited online competency-based programs in the nation to allow students to earn a bachelor’s degree through self-paced modules and assessments rather than traditional semester-long courses."
